Welcome to the Journal of Entomology (JEE) section of this meeting. JEE is pleased to join with Environmental Entomology in updating attendees of the ESA annual meeting on our journals' activities and recognizing the fine contributions of our authors. JEE offers opportunities to publish regular research articles (our most frequent submission), reviews, Forums, and Special Collections. We publish articles across 18 sections, and submissions are welcomed continuously. We are encouraging reviews, Forums, and Special Collections, and welcome you to contact an editor with queries and ideas. JEE is pleased to report that our journal statistics (such as Impact Factor, pages published, and days to first decision) have improved over the last four years. Our quality is maintained, and special initiatives are being launched, due to the support of our subject editors, associate editors, management staff, and reviewers. Quality of course begins with the authors, and without further delay, I wish to extend our congratulations to authors selected in two awards categories this year. Two were selected as 'Readers' Choice' based primarily on pubication metrics, and two were selected as 'Editors' Choice' based primarily on our editors' evaluation.
