"Looking for Bugs in All the Wrong Places" was inspired by a few iconic women - Barbie and Hedy Lamarr. Where have you seen entomology or other scientific information in unexpected places? How can we use those opportunities to engage in dialog that furthers scientific understanding and science literacy? Entomology has both the power to delight and inspire. This session intends to do both - bringing together an eclectic group of entomological talks (from both entomologists and non-entomologists) to remind us of the many delightful and unexpected ways entomology can touch society, as well as inspire us to use those moments to foster dialog and promote scientific understanding.
