Natural infestations of pathogenic fungi producing mammalian mycotoxins is an increasing challenge to control, especially fungi relying partly on insect feeding damage for tissue entry. This proposed symposium will discuss the mycotoxin situation, relationships with insects and feeding damage, and control strategies that may fit in a sustainable cropping system.
