Peter J. Landolt (1952-2019) was an exceptional entomologist, teacher, mentor, and friend. From chemical ecology to taxonomy, Pete has left a legacy of excellence. In this presentation, I talk about the 50+ years that I knew and interacted with Pete on a variety of levels. For the last 15 years, Pete and I took collecting trips to Guatemala, from where Pete developed the best collection of moths from the country currently available in the world. I talk about the Pete Landolt that I knew since we first met as graduate students at Washington State University.
